**WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?**
- Provide leadership, direction, coaching and mentorship to develop and motivate a high-performance team, including hiring, training, goal setting and succession management.
- Manage the timely preparation and reporting of financial and operating results to clients.
- Oversee the budget and forecasting processes.
- Oversee the preparation of quarterly and year end audit working paper files.
- Assist in the preparation of annual audited financial statements for numerous legal entities.
- Establish and maintain internal controls.
- Work with a team of Managers to review and amend accounting policies and procedures.
- Work and assist the ERP data integrity group to modify/test/validate upgrades/changes to various Yardi software interface modules.
- Provide leadership and training to the accounting team regarding accounting and reporting standards, policies and procedures.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting for a portfolio of properties.
- Liaise with external client financial counterpart to ensure quality and timeliness if deliverables.
- Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of internal processes to seek opportunities to create new/modify existing processes and procedures.
- Successfully coordinate the integration of new properties into the accounting workflow.
- Offer service excellence to all customers; both internal and external.

**To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications**:

- A University degree would be preferred with a specialization in Accounting.
- An Accounting designation required or actively enrolled in the program (CPA or legacy CPA).
- Bilingual in both English and French is required.
- 5 years of progressive property accounting experience within the commercial real estate industry.
- Demonstrated experience and commitment to creating a culture of client and customer service and engagement. Ability to work well with senior management, peers, clients and other external parties.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and motivate team to ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner.
- Experience in providing timely and accurate reports to internal and external clients.
- Knowledge of Yardi software or similar real estate software.
