**Position Description**:
**Position Responsibilities**:
- Interpret and produce electrical, electronic, and mechanical drawings and other related technical documents and graphics for a variety of stakeholders in compliance with industry standards
- Select and use a variety of troubleshooting techniques and equipment to assess, maintain and repair electromechanical circuits, equipment, process systems and subsystems
- Maintain and repair, electrical, electronic, and mechanical components, equipment and systems to ensure that they function according to specifications and to optimize production
- Support the design and production of mechanical components by assisting in the specification of manufacturing materials and processes
- Apply, analyze, build, install, commission, and troubleshoot a variety of mechanical, electrical and electronic control systems, logic and digital circuits, passive AC and DC circuits and active circuits
- Install and troubleshoot basic computer hardware and programming to support the electromechanical engineering department
- Maintain and troubleshoot automated equipment including fanuc robot welding systems
- Establish and maintain inventory, records, and documentation systems to meet organizational and industry standards and requirements
- Select and purchase electromechanical equipment, components, and systems that fulfill job requirements and functional specifications
- Work in compliance with relevant industry standards, laws and regulations, codes policies and procedures
- Develop strategies for ongoing personal and professional development to enhance work performance and to remain in the field and responsive to emergent technologies and national and international standards
- Contribute as an individual member of an Industrial engineering team to the effective completion of tasks and projects
- Support project management activities such as planning, implementation and evaluation of projects, monitoring resources, timelines and expenditures
- Coordinates spare parts purchasing with suppliers and maintains/controls records of the spare part inventory
**Qualifications**:
- Millwright or Electrician Red Seal preferred
- Minimum two years’ experience repairing equipment in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Technical training and/or college diploma in Electro - Mechanical Technician Program
- Computer Skills MS office suite, CMMS, AutoCAD 2D/3D
- Knowledge of transformer manufacturing is considered an asset.
**Skills**:
- Must be well organized, self -motivated and results oriented, to ensure work assignments are completed in a timely manner.
- Have the ability to communicate professionally and effectively to others.
- Must have excellent analytical and decision making abilities.
- Willingness to learn how to operate equipment (winding machines) to better understand the manufacturing process. Electrical and mechanical aptitude will have a have strong ability to read and understand electrical schematics
- **Shift Schedule**:
- Monday to Thursday from 6:00AM-4:30PM, however all shifts may vary dependent on business needs
- This position may require extended daily hours and overtime hours as required to ensure customer needs are always met.
- Overtime is based on business needs, employees are often required to work overtime on Friday’s to complete weekly targets based on business demand.
- This position may require the person to be on call.
