About the role

**What you’ll do**:

- Lead or contribute to the development of strategies, policies and risk management techniques for CMHC’s Mortgage funding activities.
- Research and scan capital market developments and provide advice and recommendations on assessed impacts and opportunities for our mortgage funding programs.
- Monitor the efficacy of strategies and policies and develop mechanisms to measure results.
- Prepare briefing and communications materials for various internal and external audiences.
- Provide policy interpretation and advice on CMHC’s mortgage funding programs.
- Provide input into the development and implementation of strategies and risk management practices.

**What you should have**:

- An Undergraduate degree in business, economics or finance
- A minimum of five years of experience in capital markets, preferably in securitization products.
- Demonstrated experience developing strategies and policies that align program objectives with risk appetites.
- Experience developing briefing and presentation materials to support decision making.
- Knowledge of Bloomberg, Power BI or other financial tools.

**It would be great if you also had**:

- A professional accreditation in the securities field (Chartered Financial Analyst, Financial Risk Manager) or an accounting designation (CPA).
