**Position overview**:
We are currently looking for an individual who is passionate about accounting, reporting and financial processes. The Analyst, Corporate Accounting will work closely with the Manager, Corporate Accounting in strengthening closing processes, analyzing transactions and reporting financial results and position for Sagard asset management companies to various stakeholders. The analyst will work closely with the finance team to build month end close and asset management recharge processes and be actively involved with a new GL and AP system implementation.

The analyst will have good knowledge of IFRS and have been exposed to finance close processes, including multi-currencies entities, tax financials and reporting packages.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Prepare/ review monthly cash transactions and account reconciliations.
- Prepare/ review AP, Concur, GL coding and recharge to the funds.
- Ensure month end close activities are completed, transactions accurately recorded and variances analysis explained.
- Interact with the private funds and consolidation finance teams for various reporting needs.
- Participate in system implementation, including data conversion, system testing and validation.
- Assist in bank administration, opening new accounts and tracking access rights.
- Daily maintenance of the General Ledger in the accounting system.
- Prepare ad hoc analysis.

**Experience & Qualifications**:

- University degree and recognized accounting designation.
- Organized and strong attention to detail
- Team player - happy to do whatever is required to support the team
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience from accounting firms (an asset) or asset management/ financial services industry
- Demonstrate expertise with excel and Sage Intacct (an asset).
- **Rigorous** - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; organized and exceptional attention to detail; a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced, results-oriented workplace, and hard-working.

- Excellent spoken and written in English; effective in French is a plus.
