**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Quality Manager, is responsible to develop, modify, and implement project specific quality programs for all projects contracted by A&H Steel Ltd.. The manager is also responsible for the corporate Q-HOC Program including incident analysis and cost impact development.

**Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities**:

- Responsibility Area #1 - Quality_
- Liaise with Business Development and estimating during proposal development and submission as necessary
- Development of Project teams and assignment of personnel
- Ensure effective kick-off meetings are held on each new project
- As our Quality Leader for all projects, establish quarterly discussion schedule with all client Quality Leaders
- Monitor Project specific meeting as necessary
- In conjunction with the Project Coordinator, ensure effective change management process is in place on each project
- Participate in close out meetings as necessary
- Support PMs and PC’s as necessary
- Responsibility Area #2 - Team Management_
- Participate with HR to Recruit, train and monitor all Quality Inspectors
- Hold Weekly Team meetings
- Participate in Project meetings as necessary
- Responsibility Area #3 - Documents and Reporting_
- Review of all project contracts, with regard to the Quality requirements
- Manage the Q-HOC and NCR programs and resulting solutions
- Develop Monthly Quality Overview Reports for the leadership team
- Develop Quarterly Quality Overview Reports for the Board of Directors
- Responsibility Area #4 - Strategic Planning_
- Develop specific strategic Quality initiatives to attain the strategic goals for the company
- Specific to the Quality Program. Development of short term and long term Goals and WIGs
- Monitor Goals and Wigs on a regular basis and report as scheduled
- Responsibility Area #5 - Miscellaneous_
- Demonstrate effective leadership skills at all times
- Ensure health, safety and the environment policies, procedures and culture are always understood and at the forefront with you and your direct reports
- Ensure quality of work, communication, team work and company culture, based on A&H values are understood and at the forefront with you and your direct reports at all times

**Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities**:

- **Leadership **- to work closely with staff members within the company, ensuring they are maintaining the level of Quality required
- **Communication **- The Quality Manager works in a collaborative environment that requires coordination with other departments and negotiation with vendors
- **Computer skills **- to navigate Q-Hoc / NCR database and produce jobsite Quality binders as necessary
- **Multi-tasking **- to manage multiple duties and responsibilities at once
- **Organization **- to monitor all quality paperwork for proper filing
- **Detail-oriented **- Attention to detail to ensure all reports and documents are completed correctly and as required
