**Full-time, Maintenance: Line Support Supervisor**

This position reports into the Maintenance Manager and is based in Guelph, Canada.

**What will you do**

**Key Responsibilities***
- Lead the maintenance team, ensuring safety of maintenance personnel in all work aspects.
- Creates work schedules for all employees on assigned shifts and conducts daily shift start-up meetings discussing safety issues and the expected workload as per 24/7 operation.
- Determines work priorities for weekly and daily maintenance schedule with operations leadership and maintenance planner.
- Responsible for equipment maintenance and uptime throughout the plant, must be self-motivated to make decisions and complete necessary repairs in a timely manner.
- Must be hands on and possess solid understanding to support troubleshooting of all or some of: electrical/electronic circuits, PLCs, wire installation/termination, pneumatics, hydraulics, power distribution, electronics, process control computers, and AC/DC drives.
- Communicates frequently and clearly on equipment status and resource availability, escalates issues when required.
- Supports investigations and audits, prepares written responses, updates to SOPs, and refresher trainings for the maintenance organization.
- Works closely with engineering staff to review and approves new equipment installation plans from maintenance perspective.
- Partners with site reliability engineer to drive continuous improvements in equipment reliability performance. Leads maintenance and reliability rebuild projects where required.
- Owns maintenance safety program and safety audits (Lockout/Tag Out, Confined Space, Fall Protection, PPE, Mobile Equipment, Lifting Devices, etc.)
- Coordinates and leads the execution of shutdown maintenance activities.
- Assists in maintaining an accurate electronic backlog of all work requests and work orders.
- Coordinates and manages external contractors for all work related to maintenance.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training the maintenance team as well as conducting annual performance reviews, providing regular feedback, addressing performance issues as necessary, and mentoring team members to impart technical and practical knowledge related to equipment installation, operation, and maintenance.
- Must have good communication skills both verbal and written.

**What we are looking for**

Qualifications:
Provincially Licensed in at least one of the following trades:

- Industrial Electrician
- Electrical Engineering Technologist
- Industrial Mechanic Millwright
- Instrumentation and Control Technician/Control Electronic Technologist
- Tool and Die Machinist

Or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from an accredited University with significant demonstrated hands-on/practical knowledge in manufacturing equipment and methodologies.
- Desired Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

- Experience in Lean Manufacturing concepts and OSHA requirements (preferred).
- Previous manufacturing production and maintenance supervisor experience in GMP environment.
- A minimum of four (4 years) journey-level experience as a maintenance technician working with industrial machinery.
- Ability to read, follow, and understand electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings, blueprints, schematics, code requirements, service manuals, and manufacturers’ specifications.
- Good documentation practices.
- Proficient with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook), Maximo/CMMS, and other computer systems and hardware.
- Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to ensure minimum interruptions to operations.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing equipment maintenance (hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, etc).
