**Position Summary**
Centennial College is looking for a dynamic Alumni Officer to work within assigned school chapter(s) to promote and deliver alumni engagement services and initiatives that are aligned with the office’s business plan. This includes outreach to current students, particularly graduating students. The Alumni Officer will be responsible for executing a school-specific engagement strategy, comprising of communication touch points and a variety of events, to increase alumni awareness and engagement. The Alumni Officer will also be responsible for assisting with other College-wide Alumni events and initiatives, in addition to acting as the lead on Alumni Signature Events each year.

**Responsibilities**
- Works closely with assigned school(s) to better understand school-specific alumni needs and opportunities
- Implements the Alumni Touch Campaign (minimum of 12 touches/year/school). Provides input to communications staff related to assigned school chapter(s), providing school-specific content to writing and marketing staff
- Assist and/or coordinate school-specific event strategy and logistics within scope of chapter plan, including reunions and third-party events
- Be physically on-site at assigned school chapter(s), minimum of 1 day/week
- Works closely with the Dean/Chair/Faculty of the assigned school chapter(s), as well as other Alumni Engagement staff with regard to identifying, qualifying, cultivating, engaging and stewarding respective alumni
- Individual meetings with Alumni to gather feedback, provide information to, and engage where appropriate
- Strengthen the connection with current students within assigned school chapter(s) by conducting regular classroom visits to discuss what it means to be an Alumnus and why it is important to remain connected to the College following graduation (benefits and services)
- Assists the Team Lead, School Chapters and Manager, Alumni Engagement in the identification and recruitment of Alumnus of Distinction nominees from assigned school chapter(s)
- Attends offsite and departmental events, student club events, community events and meetings as a guest speaker representing the College’s Alumni Engagement Office.
- Assists with execution of College-wide Alumni initiatives (i.e. orientations, service fairs, Alumni Awareness events, Alumni Association outings, and other one-off events that may be created or required
- Oversight and implementation of Alumni Signature Events
- Responsible for all data management in Raiser’s Edge relating to Alumni within assigned school chapter(s)
- Responsible for a predetermined budget with regard to alumni engagement initiatives within assigned school chapter(s)
- Prepares and provides monthly summaries and reports on chapter activities, including budget expenses to the school chapters and director
- Other duties as required when assigned by the Director and/or Manager; including travel to other campus locations and event sites

**Qualifications/Experience**
- Three (3) year diploma/ degree or equivalent in Marketing, Public Relations, Community Services, Business Administration, Community Development or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Minimum three years’ experience in a related role providing front-line client service, coordinating events, memberships, and/or volunteer activities. Experience in a membership association is considered an asset.
- Practical experience in a student services or employment advising environment is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated event/workshop facilitation experience, including an understanding of adult learning principles.
