We are looking to hire an Operations Supervisor for our Parcel Delivery Services Facility in Nova Scotia.

**Your Role**:
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for directing the daily activities of the warehouse, including labour scheduling, supervision and the proper utilization of manpower, equipment and space for the safe, high-quality and productive delivery of parcels to the client.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Direct the operations of the warehouse personnel to achieve outlined objectives, organize daily meetings / regular communication to establish clear, ambitious and attainable goals across operations, quality and service, QSHE and profitability
- Develop and direct work plans to ensure appropriate staffing levels at all times, including long range planning of labour needs based on customer sales forecasts and Management input
- Together with the Distribution Center Manager, establish and ensure the execution of operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, scanning of inbound parcels, sortation to route level, handling and disposition of materials and inventory accuracy, and driving active safety programs
- Develop and direct programs to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of the facility and of all warehouse equipment, identify and pursue continuous improvement opportunities, and together with the Distribution Centre Manager implement a “lean” culture

**Who You Are**:

- Post-secondary College education with a focus on Leadership, logistics and supply chain an asset
- 5 years of Management experience in a DC/Logistics environment with exposure to advance Warehouse Management Systems preferred
- Proven ability to manage projects with a short to medium term focus while concurrently managing day-to-day operations
- Advanced knowledge of Company/Industry policies and procedure and practices including but not limited to: Employment Standards, WCB, Health & Safety and Loss Prevention practices
- Up to date knowledge of the activities, competition, as well as current and upcoming trends and regulatory issues within the retail industry
- Strong leadership and change management skills

**Working Conditions**:

- Early evening and overnight shifts
- Work is performed in a warehouse environment with frequent exposure to adverse conditions
- The work involves occasional periods of intense sensory effort as well as occasional periods of considerable physical effort
- Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities with regular deadlines
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including - evenings, weekends and holidays as business needs require
