Home Hardware is looking for a Lead Hand on the **Night Shift**. Led by Curtis MacNutt, Shift Manager, as Lead Hand you are responsible for providing front line supervisory, wave planning and production support throughout all areas of the Dealer Support Centre

- Ensure smooth flow of product throughout the center through coordination with the shift supervisor.
- Ensure efficient quality of material handling. Includes: preparation of daily schedule, through daily scheduling activities, shorts management, machine tasking, troubleshooting of equipment/conveyer concerns.
- Ensure Team Member competency in Material Handling and safe operation of equipment. Includes: picking observations, support cross training initiatives, and equipment certification as needed.
- Provide support/coverage in instances of Supervisor vacations or other leave coverage.
- Foster safety culture by active participation and compliance with safety requirements, processes, and procedures.
- Effective completion of administrative tasks in support of smooth, efficient operations. Includes: monitoring of picking lines, SOP compliance sheets, ASN sheet production, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.

**We’re looking for**:

- Knowledge of multiple Home Hardware departments is an asset
- Effective leadership, organizational and communication skills.
- Experience and background in transportation, trucking industry, or dispatch an asset.
- Intermediate to Advanced computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality commitment
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport.
- Demonstrated ability to adjust to shifting priorities or tasks.
