**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Manager of Infection Prevention and Control, the incumbent will work in collaboration with all Infection Prevention and Control team members and a diverse group of Nova Scotia Health stakeholders to provide clerical and program coordination support. The Secretary will primarily support zonal activities, teams and Health Services Managers (HSM); however provincial support will also be required based on the project, task or initiative at the discretion of the HSM given the provincial scope of the program.

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Graduate of a recognized office administration/ secretarial program or equivalent is required
- One year of recent related experience required
- Medical terminology an asset
- Ability to use Microsoft Windows and all components of Microsoft Office including SharePoint and advanced Excel database skills.
- Expertise with the development, maintenance, and formatting of documents, spreadsheets/databases, and websites.
- Typing speed of 40 words per minute
- Demonstrated planning, organizing, prioritizing, and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Demonstrated accountability, initiative, and ability to work independently with attention to detail.
- Experience scheduling, ordering supplies/stock, and payroll/time administration.
- Experience with position related software such as TimeCapture, SAP, MediTech, Millenium.
- Competencies in other languages; French preferred

**Hours**:

- Permanent, full-time position, 70 hrs bi-weekly

**Compensation and Incentives**:
$23.07 - $25.54 Hourly
