Hos Safety Auditor

The HOS Safety Auditor is responsible for various administrative tasks to ensure Q-Line drivers are in
compliance with regards to HOS (hours of service) and other various safety regulations and requirements. The HOS Safety Auditor will also assist the Recruitment Coordinator as needed. This position requires strong time management skills, excellent communication skills and a high level of attention to details.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES**

**Logbook Support**
- Conducts daily audits of electronic drivers' log to identify falsification, HOS violations and personal conveyance misuse as per DOT regulations; then initiates correct action procedures as required. Audits paper daily log sheets on a regular basis as well.
- Maintains and updated computer systems and files related to log compliance, including various reports and spreadsheets
- Prepares appropriate documents for driver files as needed
- Conducts logbook counselling and answers questions for drivers as needed
- Acts as a resource to various departments in relation to logbook questions and regulations

**Other Safety Administration**
- Set-up new and existing drivers in HOS and Q-Tracks
- Records, files and maintains driver violations related to HOS
- Contact drivers regarding HOS violations
- Educate drivers on HOS
- Download and files previous 6 months of E-logs for auditing purposes and add to accident files, manage paper

log file for same purposes
- Completes weekly fine and bonus loss reporting to appropriate stakeholders
- Records and files safety non-conformance and cargo securement reports
- Prepares and submits monthly safety reporting related to HOS
- Ensures safety information is communicated as required to appropriate stakeholders (i.e. drivers, operations,

etc.)
- Other duties as assigned
