**Job Overview**:

Our client, a leading manufacturing company in the Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge region, is seeking a **Production Supervisor with Press Operator experience **to lead their production workforce and help maintain a safe and efficient workplace.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supervise all manufacturing activities, personnel, and resources to achieve operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, including employee awareness training and housekeeping activities to maintain a safe work environment.
- Monitor and report nonconformance in employee behavior, quality, safety, operations, maintenance, and materials to establish corrective actions and reporting cycles.
- Maintain quality standards through the use of control plans, quality system policies, procedures, and work instructions, including SPC, first/last piece comparisons, lot traceability, inventory control practices, and employee primary/secondary job definitions.
- Establish a participative environment where employees are trained for multiple job functions and motivated to achieve personal and work-related goals.
- Set up and operate equipment and tools, including presses and feeders, to produce parts.
- Lead work teams in day-to-day press operation and oversee workers assigned to the press cell.
- Conduct frequent part inspections and stop the process if a defective part is found.
- Schedule die changes and other production-related duties in collaboration with the supervisor.
- Practice all health and safety procedures and report any hazards in the work cell.
- Demonstrate reliability by day-to-day attendance and a self-motivated attitude toward the job.
- Carry out, with the assistance of operators, preventive and routine maintenance activities on equipment and facilities as directed by supervisors.

**Qualifications**:

- Grade 12 education or equivalent.
- 2 years previous supervisory experience in a production environment is desired.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of the workings of presses.
- Familiarity with basic quality concepts including PPAP, SPC, and relevant quality standards (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949) is an asset.
- Leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are desirable.

**Working Conditions**:
The Production Supervisor with Press Operating Experience is expected to work on the production floor and occasionally perform deskwork for short periods in an office environment. The role requires walking and standing for long periods of time and the ability to lift and bend as necessary.

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
