The Manager of Data Services is a systems thinker, able to form and oversee a cohesive operating model that produces data products to meet our business’s needs. This person understands the full life-cycle - from design to delivery - of how data products can come to life for our business to use.
While this role is part of Enterprise Data & Analytics within our Business Experience team, you will be partnering across the organization to drive them forward on their data journey. You will be exposed to, and responsible for enabling, the entire value chain of a global organization that accomplishes operational excellence.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Design, implement and oversee the operating model for Data Services, from technology to governance.
- Coach and mentor a team of developers as they support the business in designing and delivering data products.
- Select and leverage leading cloud-based technology to deliver data products in a data service model.
- Design and, when necessary, develop data integration patterns including ETL and ELT.
- Create development standards for data product development.
- Maintain and support data products and related processes.
- Collaborating with data consumers to build services and products that effectively use data and insights to further our business’s objectives.
- Ensure data is being handled in accordance with all applicable standards and regulations.
- Work with business representatives to interpret data from source systems and understand data usage considerations and constraints.
- Support data modelling to produce cohesive, sustainable and consistent data products.
- Ensure solutions developed adhere to Stantecs Solution Delivery Framework and Change Management process requirements.
- Establish relationships with data product owners, data owners and data consumers to support the further development and evolution of data products.
- Lead new data sharing and collaboration initiatives, support continuous improvement, provide direction to rapidly evolving opportunities, and negotiate innovative solutions to complex and diverse challenges.
- Support formal user acceptance testing activities such as test case creation, execution, and issue resolution.
- Develop your craft as a data professional as you work with our team and our business to understand their challenges and work with them to build effective, sustainable, and valued solutions.

- Familiarity with emerging data management concepts such as data mesh, data fabric, and data contracts.
**Education & Experience**
**Must have**:
- 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role, preferably with teams focused in the data domain.
- 10 years of experience with the design and development of data products such as data warehouses, data marts, and operational data stores that involve cross-system integration.
