**Join Our Team**:
Our Home Depot, Asset Protection team, is a critical component of our store operations business which focuses primarily on retail loss mitigation that may come through operational process errors or through external and internal malicious losses via theft and fraud. The asset protection team works collaboratively with all business functions, store partners and external vendors, providing tools, resources and guidance across our business to ensure The Home Depot Canada can provide a high performing and world class customer experience.

**Job Summary**:
The position is responsible for supporting the Asset Protection team, field leaders and stores with accurate and efficient reporting to make informed decisions to mitigate loss. In addition to generating and providing reporting to the business, the associate intern in the role will be expected to complete research, analysis, and provide insights and recommendations to support loss mitigation strategies. This position will be responsible for the updating and maintenance of existing reports and databases.

**What You Bring to the Role**:

- Currently pursuing a university and/or college education in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field of study will be considered a preferred qualification.
- Experience in forecasting, trending, planning, and/or financial analysis
- Exceptional Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office knowledge
- Proficient programming skills including SQL is an asset
- Experience with Tableau reporting - building dashboards, visualizations, etc. is an asset
- Experience with Google Big Query is an asset
- Ability to analyze situations and resolve issues with innovation and creativity.
- A team player with the ability to handle multiple tasks, produce high quality work and prioritize work, in a busy fast paced department
- After coaching and direction, work self-sufficiently in cross functional areas to identify relevant data sets that support the analysis required by the asset protection department.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The successful student will be currently enrolled in a Canadian accredited university or college throughout the period of the Internship/Co-op Program. In addition, you must be legally entitled to work in Canada by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid work permit.
