Warehouse Supervisor - Canadian Warehouse
GWBD Operations is a privately owned holding company that operates PRIER Products, Inc., Stern Williams Products LLC. & Fiat Products LLC. We manufacture residential and commercial plumbing products for the new construction, repair, and remodel markets. Our companies are growing through New Product Development, Organic Growth and Acquisitions. Currently, GWBD employs approximately 180 persons at two locations in Missouri and one in Kentucky. This position was previously outsourced through a third party logistics company and is new position for GWBD in Canada.

**Position: Warehouse Supervisor**
**Reports to: Director of Supply Chain**
**Location: Burlington, ON, Canada**
**Compensation Plan: Exempt (salary), first shift**
**Overview of the Position**:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for safety and efficiently managing shipping, receiving, and inventory control. The individual must work with Supply Chain to have the “right” amount of inventory at the “right” cost, optimizing the cost of freight, minimizing inventory levels without stocking out, and improving inventory accuracy. This position will oversee at least one other warehouse associate and is responsible for managing personnel, including ensuring that no one is working in the warehouse alone. The success of this position will be determined by on-time, complete, and accurate shipments, and inventory accuracy of components and finished goods.
**Job Requirements**:
- Proven supervisory experience in manufacturing related to distribution, supply chain, shipping, and/or logistics.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and inventory management systems.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain relations of cooperation and communication, both written and verbal (i.e. intra-department manager, inter-department manager, and outside GWBD).
- High level of proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and inventory programs.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TQM, Kanban systems, and Quality Standards - ISO 9001.
- Can multi-task efficiently in a high stress environment.
- Able to understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem solving and decision making.
- Able to manage projects on time and under budget.
- Able to report data accurately and make suggestions based upon results.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected and encouraged.
- Excellent history of attendance and punctuality.

- BS or BA in Supply Chain and/or Operations Management strongly preferred (graduate degree, e.g. MBA, APICS certifications, etc. are preferred).
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Accountable for evaluation and support for the current distribution model, sales order picking/packing/shipping and the receiving process according to company policy.
- Provides verification on all sales orders along with the necessary BOL information to sales as required.
- Plans, organizes, directs, and controls all shipments including but not limited to expediting of shipments of incoming materials.
- Actively makes improvements to the shipping, receiving, and material handling processes and suggests and carries out projects that fall under the warehouse (including proposals and justification for capital expenditures that have return on investment).
- Performs accurate cycle counts on finished goods and clarifies any discrepancies that may occur.
- Understands and can manage inventory (e.g., FIFO) and is responsible for successfully executing a strategy to maintain and verify inventory accuracy (e.g., cycle counting).
- Maintains functionality of all material handling equipment, namely the preventative maintenance on the forklift(s).
- Communicates shipment availability to customers and resolves delivery problems or concerns.
- Maintains and promotes a safe work environment.
- Attends necessary meetings for manufacturing, shipping, inventory control, and specific freight guidelines and understands the warehouse impact.
