**Work Arrangement**:This role is primarily based at one of our Corporate Offices with the flexibility to work remotely for up to two (2) days per week.

**Position Overview**:
Reporting to the Controller, the Manager, Revenue and Regulatory is responsible for overseeing the recording and reporting of revenue and regulatory fees and taxes, as well as supervising a team responsible for responding to credit card chargebacks. This role necessitates proactive engagement with other departments and external stakeholders to guarantee accurate revenue accounting and reporting.

The Manager, Revenue and Regulatory requires a strong understanding of ASPE/IFRS and revenue recognition principles, excellent skills in Excel, enhanced technical and communication skills, and a proven ability to partner effectively across business functions. **Primary Job Function**:

- Perform daily accounting for airline sales and revenue and ensure revenue recognition is in accordance with the company's policy and current revenue recognition accounting standards.
- Provide real time reporting of ticket sales and earned travel revenue drawn from the Company’s airline software.
- Generate, track and report on key performance indicators (KPI)
- Research, analyze and recommend the proper accounting treatment of new revenue sources, applicable taxes, and initiatives.
- Ensure financial systems are properly tested and compliant with accounting and reporting needs when new revenue initiatives are implemented.
- Prepare back-up schedules/reconciliations related to revenue and regulatory authorities (i.e. A/R, Deferred Revenue, AIF, CATSA, GST, Depreciation, and Rotables)
- Maintenance Reserve Reporting and Submission
- Prepare Tax Returns (i.e. Carbon Tax, GST, PST/HST, US, MX)
- Continuously review and streamline processes to ensure transactional tasks are executed efficiently.
- Identify and implement internal controls and process improvements.
- Review credit card chargebacks and, where appropriate, dispute chargebacks with merchant processors
- Assist with financial audits including reconciliations, support documentation, and communication with external auditors.
- Other duties as assigned by the organization from time to time.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:
***Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or in a related area
- A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or actively working towards the CPA designation is preferred.

***Experience**:

- Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressively responsible accounting experience within a medium-large organization, including a minimum of one (1) year at a supervisory level demonstrating analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills in managing moderate to complex financial and accounting issues.
- A thorough knowledge of ASPE and IFRS reporting standards.
- Experience with Sage 300 would be advantageous.
- Previous experience in the airline industry would be beneficial.
