Every other Saturday and Sunday, 9 am to 5 pm

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Create, plan, implement, deliver, evaluate, and adapt resident-focused programming for individuals and groups that promote preferences, independence, and self-esteem.
- Participate in resident care conferences, document resident assessments, attendance, and statistics, and develop and document monthly recreation calendars.
- Collaborate and build relationships with residents, families, and staff to optimize resident care, and supervise volunteers, student placements and summer staff as required.
- Perform other duties as required to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents in the Home.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Currently enrolled in (or graduated from) a recognized post-secondary institution in Therapeutic Recreation, Leisure Studies, Gerontology, Kinesiology or other related field.
- Experience and/or interest in working with a geriatric population.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- Communicates clearly and effectively in verbal and written English.
- Manages, organizes, and prioritizes time and resources effectively.
- Exhibits a creative, energetic, and positive attitude.
- Patient and empathetic in listening to others.
- Proficient computer literacy

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Eligible for the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC).
- Experience with Welbi, Resident Assessment Instrumentation Minimum Data Set (RAI-MDS) and/or PointClickCare software is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of practices and traditions of the Jewish religion is considered an asset.
