The Marketing Manager - Livestock will provide leadership to the Cattle, Swine, Poultry and Equine businesses. As the Marketing Manager you will be responsible for leading the Strategic Marketing Teams (SMT) and the Livestock Action Groups (LAG) ensuring that all business and marketing objectives are met in accordance with corporate requirements.

As the Marketing Manager - Livestock, you will also be be part of the Livestock Leadership Team (Cattle, Swine, Equine Poultry and Aqua). The role will have direct responsibility for marketing activities related to selected product groups. The position requires about 30% of time associated with field travel to ensure interaction with key customers, opinion leaders and the field force.

**Responsibilities**
- Support and manage the Marketing teams in the development and implementation of Strategic Marketing Teams and Livestock Action Groups to deliver specific business results.
- Manage the marketing budgets and liaise with marketing agencies.
- Provided leadership and strategic directives to the Marketing teams.
- Actively participate in the business leadership teams and guide the strategic planning teams with membership from sales, technical and marketing.
- Ensure accurate forecast and demand planning for all Livestock products and interact with all internal agencies to secure constant supply to the market.
- Connect with external key opinion leaders to enhance the teams’ knowledge base and develop the marketing teams according to their Individula Development Programs.
- Keep up-to-date with competitive product information and current medical opinion within the animal health sector, and maintain current knowledge of the livestock industry trends and relevant information
- Develop and implement market research and support clinical trial initiatives as needed to meet regulatory and marketing objectives

**Qualifications**
- Strong strategic, analytical, and financial management skills
- Proven leadership abilities in situations with cross-functional accountabilities
- Comprehensive understanding of the animal health business and strong marketing experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the health industry (with a minimum of 5 years in animal health), including experience in both sales and marketing and an expertise in relevant marketing concepts and principles
- Relevant livestock industry experience
- Experience in launching new products and managing large scope projects
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage people and to coach and develop others in a team setting
- An MBA or advanced business degree, an asset
- DVM, BSc, or related technical training in agriculture, an asset
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
- Bilingualism (French, English)

Le poste exige des déplacements sur le terrain environ 30 % du temps aux fins d’interactions avec les principaux clients, les leaders d’opinion et l’effectif de vente.

**Responsabilités**
- Soutenir et gérer les équipes de marketing dans le cadre de la constitution et du déploiement des équipes de marketing stratégique et des groupes d’action du secteur du bétail en vue de l’atteinte de résultats commerciaux précis.
- Gérer les budgets alloués au marketing et assurer la liaison avec les agences de publicité.
- Assurer la direction des équipes de marketing et leur fournir une orientation stratégique.
- Participer activement aux activités des équipes de leadership des unités opérationnelles et guider les équipes de planification stratégique composées de membres des Ventes, des Services techniques et du Marketing.
- Fournir des prévisions exactes et assurer la planification de la demande pour l’ensemble des produits destinés aux animaux d’élevage, et interagir avec tous les intervenants internes pour garantir un approvisionnement continu du marché.
- Entrer en contact avec les principaux leaders d’opinion externes pour enrichir la base de connaissances de l’équipe et favoriser le perfectionnement des membres des équipes de marketing conformément à leur plan de perfectionnement individuel.
