**Compensation**: $16/hr

The HOEM Services Desk Agents will be part of the HOEM Team and will be integral in creating a welcoming and friendly environment at HOEM. The HOEM team is here to support our HOEMies, and their satisfaction is our top priority. Hours of Work
Hours of work will be assigned in advance, between the hours of 8am - midnight, any day of the week. We’ll plan around your academic schedule and do our best to accommodate any preferences, but you may need to be available for evening and weekend shifts. On a weekly basis, you’ll work approximately 8-15 hours (other than for the Summer 2023 term if you indicate you're interested in more hours).

Mandatory Dates

Training
There is mandatory training for each of the respective terms that you need to be present for. Specific times will be confirmed in advance.

**Summer**: April 30th and May 1st, 2023

**Academic Year**: August 13th - 24th, 2023 & January 13th, 2024

Hiring
There is a mandatory staff recruitment and hiring each year that you need to be present for. Specific times will be confirmed in advance.

**Academic Year**: March 23rd, 2024

Recruitment Events
When we’re showing off HOEM to prospective students we’ll need your help to showcase the building, our community and all the other fun things that happen here Specific recruitment dates will be communicated to you directly once scheduled.

**Open HOEM**: Date TBD

Move-In Day & Orientation
Throughout Move-In & Orientation we need some additional hands Official move-in days at HOEM are August 26th and 27th, 2023 as well as January 6th, 2024.

Orientation events run throughout the month of September, and you will be required to work at some events. Event schedule is TBD.

Duties

HOEM Services Desk Administration

Customer Service
Our Services Desk is often the first place HOEMies will go when they have a question or concern. It is important that the team provides customer service that goes the extra step in making our residents and guests feel heard, taken care of and “Wowed”. The individual who fills this role must be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with our others. Being able to demonstrate empathy, open mindedness and being understanding of others is a must.

Marketing & Tours
Conducting tours of HOEM for prospective students and their families, language school representatives, and other partners. This might be in person, or virtually.

Other Duties as Assigned
As with any role, tasks will come up day to day that need to be addressed and taken care of. While we want to give a good idea of what the role will entail, it will be essential that the person who fills this role be flexible and willing to adapt on a daily basis to provide support and address situations as needed.

Team Meetings
Mandatory and in person - no exceptions. These meetings will be scheduled early morning (as early as 7am) on a weekday. Exact date TBD based on the teams’ course schedule.

**Qualifications**:

- Friendly, approachable and personable with excellent communication skills;
- Commitment to providing high quality service;
- Demonstrate strong work ethic and leadership qualities;
- Superb writing skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office client software;
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and make decisions independently;
- Ability to demonstrate excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills;
- Be super fun to work with
