As a consultant to one of the esteemed Manufacturing companies in Ontario Canada, we are seeking enthusiastic and professional Automation Technician for our client.
**About our client**
Our client is a cohort of steam and thermal engineering experts with many years of on-field experience in system analytics. They are Certified Energy Managers who are affiliated with the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario and Association of Energy Engineers. The Manufacturing unit in Paris ON is TSSA and ASME approved and manufactures pressure vessels, tanks, pressure piping, custom skids, process piping. Currently serving Hospitals, Food, Pharmaceutical and Beverage along with manufacturing industry.

**What you will do**
- Design and manufacture of controls solution in conjunction with the engineering team and business development team.
- Development of project specific electrical line diagrams, create electrical panel schematics as per requirement.
- Create and develop functional design specification, operator manuals for panels with HMI screen shot.
- Development of management of standard controls solutions.
- Supervision of panel making wiring and set-up panel shop with required approvals.
- management of CSA, TUV and UL approvals and shop / site visits.
- Programming of controllers and creating automation function diagrams.
- Instrument selection and integration on projects.
- PLC and HMI programming of Allen Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, Weintek and Eurotherm. Create programs based on customer specifications.
- Calibration of various instruments such as Pressure Transducers, Differential Pressure Transducers, VFDs, RTD's Hocky Pucks etc. required both onsite and in shop.
- Assistance with bidding projects with the project manager and business development team.
- Responsible for mentoring/training apprentices.
- Travel to customer facilities required within GTA. 10% Travel out of province and country required.
- Commissioning of projects and tuning of control loops.
- Support and Assist Project Engineers and Designers with project documentation and Instrumentation/Wiring Design.
- Learn about new equipment on the job by reading manuals and through hands-on experience.
- Able to work extended shifts if required.
- Have a valid driver license in good standing.
- Minimum 2 years practical experience.

**Salary**: $80,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
**Education**:
Degree/Diploma in Electrical/ Electronic engineering or equivalent
**Experience**:
Practical: 2 years (required)
**Ability to Commute**:

**Willingness to travel**:
50 to 60%
