**Course Description**:
**Objectives**:
Upon completion of the course, students should be able to:

- Distinguish amongst theories, frameworks and concepts in the field of organizational behavior that are relevant to conducting health services research at the micro-, meso
- and macro
- levels of analysis.

**Course Details**:
Class schedule: Thurs 10-Noon

**Qualifications**:

- A robust understanding of the dominant theories and concepts of relevance to micro-, meso
- and macro-organizational behaviour;
- Past teaching, research assistance, and/or mentorship experience preferred, preferably at the graduate level;
- Prior experience in adult teaching-learning methods;
- Comfortable with electronic teaching tools such as Learning Management Systems (e.g., Quercus), PowerPoint, as well as on-line collaboration tools (Webinars, Video-conferencing).

**Duties**:

- Course instructor for a graduate course in a research program.
- Must be accessible to students outside of classroom hours.
- Grading of individual interim and final assignments.

**Salary**: Commensurate with experience

**Course Description**:
**Objectives**:
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

- Identify major elements of Canada’s health care system
- Explain current digital health policy issues and trends in Canada and internationally
- Better understand how to navigate and shape the digital health policy landscape
- Write short, concise briefing notes which synthesize academic articles, policy papers and reports as the basis for evaluating and recommending policy options
- Value the need for a policy analytic approach

**Qualifications**:

- A PhD or Masters level education with experience in health informatics, preferably in the areas of policy development, policy implementation and stakeholder engagement;
- A robust understanding of current, historical and emerging National and Provincial digital policies
- Past teaching experience related to health informatics, preferably at the graduate level;
- Prior experience in curriculum development and adult teaching-learning methods;
- Comfortable with electronic teaching tools such as Learning Management Systems (e.g., Quercus), PowerPoint, as well as on-line collaboration tools (Blogs, Wikkis, Discussion Boards, Webinars, or Video-conferencing).
