Job Title**:Arborist Assistant**

St. Charles Country Club is a 27 hole, private country club, located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We are seeking an individual for the upcoming 2023 season who is enthusiastic, reliable, team-oriented and hard working. The bulk of your time will be spent assisting the Course Arborist with tree work. You will also be required to help the maintenance team to provide general care, maintenance and course set up of all golf course features. Our goal is to provide the best golf experience every day in Manitoba.

**Duties include**:

- Operating wood chipper, chainsaw and stump grinder
- Assist climber from the ground to ensure safety and efficiency
- Drag brush, process wood, rake debris
- Help with regular equipment maintenance
- Routine manual labor involved in golf course maintenance, including but not exclusive to:

- Raking and maintenance of sand traps
- Mowing and maintenance of greens, tees and fairways
- Course set-up
- Performs any other related duties as directed by the Golf Course Superintendent or management team

**Requirements**:

- Reliable transportation
- Available to work early mornings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Ability to communicate effectively with fellow staff members
- Demonstrates knowledge and safety while using equipment
- Able to lift 75 lbs

**Compensation**

Competitive wage based on experience and golfing privileges allowed
