Operating out of three locations, RCHC offers core services that include; primary health care, health promotion, community development programs, Pathways to Education and Diabetes Education Centre.

TO Wards Peace Project (TWP) is a made-for-Toronto risk driven initiative focused on addressing elevated level of gun violence in Northwest Toronto. The TWP Project Lead will oversee and support the implementation of the project in the Rexdale area. This will include contributing to program design and development; support to interventions; research and documentation; representation and partnership development; and training, mentoring and organizational learning for implementing Youth Peace Projects.

As a Program Manager for the TO Wards Peace Project, responsibilities would encompass various aspects of program development, implementation, coordination and evaluation

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage the community driven approach, strategic alignment, implementation and community based engagement for the TWP model with backbone and funder support from the City of Toronto for TO Wards Peace Project, ensuring its adequate and effective implementation within the designated communities of Rexdale and Jane and Finch
- Lead strategic planning and priority setting annually with Grassroots organizations and key partners that are part of implementation: inclusive of but limited to Generation Chosen, BRAVE Sunnybrook Hospital etc.
- Support in developing, monitoring and evaluating work plans with RCHC, and both Northwest Grassroots organizations that aligns with project’s objectives and community needs, outlining key activities, timelines, reporting and resource allocation
- Support in the initiation and maintenance of partnerships with community partners, agencies and stakeholders to advance model priorities in the Northwest
- Foster and maintain strong effective working relationships and partnerships with all key stakeholders (inclusive but not limited to; RCHC, Think 2wice, YAAACE, Generation Chosen, BRAVCE, and the Community of Learning and Practice)
- Manage and guide project partners and TO Wards Peace staff ensuring effective teamwork, clear communication, and coordination of efforts through both individual and joint Grassroots engagement
- Develop and support development and management of project budgets from all City and additional funding sources that support the model ensuring efficient and proper utilization and disbursement of resources and adherence to guidelines
- Support contracted agency partner in the implementation of the Public Communications initiative while ensuring connectivity with the Community of Learning and Practice
- Manage the ongoing accurate collection of data, data monitoring and evaluation to support evidence informed approaches for model implementation, enhancements and or required changes.
- Collaborate in the identification with TWP stakeholders regarding ongoing community safety trends, themes nuances and support on the ground mobilizations and practices.
- Support Project Lead in program monitoring by establishing systems, best practices and timed check points to track progress, outcomes and impact of project (this includes but not limited to reporting to COT)
- Work with Project Lead in completion and review of financial reporting and expenditures etc.
- Support Project Leads in identifying potential risks and challenges associated with project implementation and develop, with the team, mitigation strategies to address them through mid-year strategic priority planning review
- Collaborate with TWP stakeholders in identifying training needs for project staff and partners that will support in capacity building opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to project crisis and violence intervention and prevention and trauma informed approaches.
- Approve and support report submission, documentation or any other materials required according to timelines outlined within funding agreements with the City of Toronto and attend regular meetings with the City for development, issue management, opportunities for further collaboration, strategy development and feedback.
- Responsible for recruitment, hiring, training, development and dismissal of staff
- Responsible for building and maintaining a unified & high performing teams
- Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure program success
- Responsible for supervision as well as conducting of regular performance appraisal of individuals.
- Continuously assess and refine program strategies and content to meet changing needs and trends.
- Manage stakeholder engagement activities, including drafting regular updates, reports on events, activities and accomplishments for internal and external audiences.
