Warehousing & Inventory Manager

JRE Hardware is seeking a full-time employee to fulfill a Warehouse & Inventory Manager position with order picking duties as well. This job is physically demanding but has great career prospects. We are looking for an individual who knows how to organize and arrange products and who can finish their work quickly and accurately. They need to be physically fit to manage their workload successfully.
Duties will include:
**Warehousing & Inventory**:
- Organizing warehouse
- Monitoring inventory levels and reporting data to General Manager
- Moving glass panels and mirrors
- Order picking
- Working with Division 10 Manager to ensure large project hardware, glass and mirrors are ordered on a timely basis to fulfill project deliveries.
**Fabrication**:
- Production of custom wooden crates for glass shipments
- Some product fabrication (cutting lengths of steel tubing, etc)
**Logistics**:
- Shipping & logistics coordination and dispatch
- Some deliveries of product to local projects
- Obtaining multiple quotes for shipments to ensure cost effectiveness
- Packing & shipping Division 10 accessories
- Cold calls to custom home building contractors across various regions to drum up business within our Railing & Glass Department
- Quoting railing & glass projects
- Calls to multifamily contractors for our Division 10 Specialties Department
**Experience, Skills & Requirements**:
- Grade 12 Diploma
- Fluent in English
- Professional demeanor
- Detail oriented & organized
- Dependable
- Team player & flexibility to lend a hand where needed (small company)
- Able to confidently lift up to 100lbs (working with glass panels)
- Experience with power tools such as drill press, belt sander, cut off saw
- Knowledge of the tools and concepts of basic carpentry (making wood crates)
- Valid forklift ticket an asset
- Good communication skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite
Initial Hourly Model: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm (remains to be confirmed, flexible but set hours). Position commences in September with the option to begin in August. Salary will be based on experience, however will likely be in the $20-22 per hour. This rate will be evaluated upon 90-day review.
