- Has creative programming skills, superior customer service and strong interpersonal skills.
- Understands child development
- Has knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

**Every day, you will contribute to the successful operation of the Family Lending Library by**:

- Maintaining a positive and welcoming attitude with families
- Providing support to the operation of the family lending library
- Maintaining the lending library database and input of inventory and membership information
- Ensuring positive respectful communication with families
- Providing members with information regarding all resources within the library and the community
- Actively recruiting new membership
- Maintaining confidentiality of all information related to the organization
- Using a coaching approach when working with families to raise awareness of the available resources to

support the needs of all children and caregivers visiting the library.
- Modelling professionalism by adhering to the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice by the College of

Early Childhood Educators
- Other duties as assigned by Coordinator and Director.

**As a Family Lending Library Assistant, you will**:

- Working Wednesdays evenings from 5:30pm-7:30pm and alternating Saturdays from 9:00am-3:00pm
- A degree/diploma in Early Childhood Education, Child & Youth Care, Recreation and Leisure, Ontario

College of Teachers or other relevant diploma or degree is considered an asset.
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screen dated within 6 months
- Current Standard First Aid/CPR C certification from a WSIB approved training partner
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screen dated within 6 months
- Dated Immunization records for MMR, DTP, Polio and 1 step TB test
- Proof of Vaccination against Covid-19
