NOC Support Technician

**Overview**:
**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Handle the prompt resolution of all escalations and urgent requests from clients in a 24/7 environment.
- Provide first-level network support and front-line customer support for LAN and Carrier Network issues.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues across a wide range of devices (routers, switches, and other communication devices).
- Monitor the operational support systems to proactively identify service-impacting events.
- Escalate problems to the appropriate teams within the company or external vendors as required to achieve resolution.
- Utilize network diagrams to support effective troubleshooting.
- Keep current on industry products and technologies available for communications, (e.g. Internet services, protocols and networking equipment).
- Utilize ServiceNow and/or Jira to log all requests and activities.
- Produce and update process and support documentation.

**Requirements and Experience**:

- Strong English Communication skills (oral and written)
- Cisco CCNA or equivalent network and routing knowledge
- Knowledge of CompTIA A+, Microsoft MCP or Linux skills are desirable
- Previous Network Security Experience/Knowledge is an asset
