**About the Opportunity**:
The Hospitalist Medicine Service at the QEII is seeking physician coverage ~45 ALC patient (LTC level of care) cohorted at the VG Hospital over the months of June, July, August, September 2024. Payment is sessional at rate $1515/day.
**Responsibilities**:
Patients need to be seen twice weekly and prn. Hours of duty are 8am-5pm with the expectation that physician be at bedside within 20 mins if patient has a clinical change. There is no overnight call obligation. Physicians would also be expected to attend weekly interdisciplinary team rounds. Should a patient become medically active, there is an acute care Hospitalist on site who could support patient care and transfer if needed.
Ideally, we are seeking to schedule individual providers on a weekly basis but are open to half weeks or days.
**Qualifications**:
- All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
