Summary:
**Responsibilities**:

- Respond and attend to guest room and pubic area repair requests - ie. Plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners / HVAC, TV, electronic locks, telephone system, pool, fitness center.
- Touches up paints and finishes on doors and fixtures when needed
- Refurbishes furniture and fixtures within guestrooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters
- Assists with preventative maintenance including completing Guestroom Preventative Maintenance Checklist.
- Check for new maintenance work orders and get appropriate sign-off once the task is completed.
- Follows all company and job-specific safety policies, and reports any accident and/or hazard immediately. Maintains the hotel facility and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on maintenance equipment.
- Undertakes special projects and other duties as assigned
- Analyze problems, identify courses of action, and implement solutions with available resources and to a high degree of quality.
- Respond to emergency after hour’s maintenance calls

Job Requirements
- Mostly Monday to Friday job, but this position may require weekend, evening and holiday coverage
- A minimum of 1-2 years technical experience or equivalent in a recognized trade with a general understanding of building maintenance and operation.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work within a team environment and a passion to learn and grow in this role
- Team player and self-starter with strong organizational skills
- Detail oriented with outstanding organizational skills
- Status: Must be resident of Canada - living in Canada and eligibility to work in Canada.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Facilities maintenance: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
