**Planner III (Program Lead)**:
The Planner III (Program Lead) will coordinate the planning of enterprise-level changes, which includes assisting with identifying, defining, planning, and implementation of change. This is an ambitious leadership position, with indirect responsibility for a cross-discipline change team.

Overall, the Planner III (Program Lead) plays a crucial role in ensuring that changes are implemented efficiently, effectively, and with mínimal disruption to the business.

**Note: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 50 Pemberton Avenue, North Vancouver**

**What you'll do**
- Attend Problem Report (PR) Triage and Enterprise Change Request (ECR) kick-off meetings
- Lead and develop the implementation strategy and schedule for assigned change(s), including in and out of sequence work
- Coordinate and prioritize change planning to handle effective change implementation and avoid change on change and offer significant risk reduction to program execution
- Stay in tune with build plans for all programs and update change implementation schedules as build strategies evolve
- Monitor workloads of responsible groups, flag when schedule is at risk and coordinate resolution with management
- Establish time fence rules for change planning including all pre-production activities in PMO, engineering, planning and supply chain etc.
- Coordinate between responsible Planning stakeholders to conduct impact assessments to identify schedule impacts for assigned change(s)
- Assist in developing ‘menu pricing’ for changes to allow for rapid decision support and impact assessments
- Support SCM with assessing and negotiating subcontractor schedule impacts
- Update ECN status (as applicable) in the product lifecycle management tool
- Support generation of accurate change status reporting to management and the Customer - this is to support management in driving accountability
- Attend Change Management review meetings

**What you'll bring**
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration or other relevant technical discipline (or proven equivalent experience).
- 4-6 years of shipbuilding or ship repair experience, working in a multi-functional or matrix organization.
- Experience of leading, implementing, facilitating, and supervising a product change control process
- Experience with complex Government procurement and contracting frameworks
- Familiar interpreting contractual terms and conditions and developing complex, compliant, and driven bids and proposals
- Proven ability to build strong and believing relationships at all levels of an organization.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with a strong attention to detail. Able to prioritize engineering decisions to achieve tight time frames and deliver on commitments. Takes personal accountability for results.
- Effective communicator. Able to understand and articulate complex concepts using simple, straight-forward language. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of program management processes, tools, techniques, and methods.
- Familiar with contracts and claims processes, including program financial management tools and techniques.
- Strong understanding of Configuration Control principles and processes.
- Effective influencing skills: able to persuade others to support program office priorities.
- Strong intuition for business with a results-oriented focus.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Adaptable, with the ability to adjust to meet changing workload and program priorities.
- Ability to use judgment and discretion.
- Strong ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
