**We’re looking for someone who**:
- Is familiar with a broad range of artistic techniques, practices and materials along with one or more of the
following skills: painting, drawing, illustration, mixed media, têxtiles/fibre arts, digital art, music and dance.
- Has proven experience working with children and adults in an art related capacity, strong organizational,
planning and time management skills, flexibility and will be able to adapt teaching practices to diverse
audiences.
** Every day, you’ll encourage purposeful play and build upon the interests of children through the**
**Community Art Studio and MCRC programs by**:
- Working alongside the Artists in MCRC’s ACT initiative including the Community Art Studio and in
locations like License Child Care programs that require support with art and art materials and in
classroom experiences, as well as arts related marketing activities within the community.
- Attending and/or facilitating programs like ACT Art Club which allows for children to see possibility in
materials in everyday environments including nature and providing children opportunities in experiencing
materials by awakening curiosity in offering different materials that are not offered in other curriculums.
- Inspiring creative thinking and open-ended arts-based experiences, working side by side with children,
educators, and families.
- Planning, preparing, and facilitating the weekly program sessions, as well as ensuring the general safety,
development, growth, and skill achievement of children in our community.
- Modelling leadership and healthy mind and body practices while working with children participating in the
weekly virtual and/or in person sessions.
- Standard First aid/CPR C from a WSIB approved training partner
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screen dated within 6 months
- Dated Immunization records for MMR, DTP, Polio and 1 step TB test
- Proof of Vaccination against COVID-19
