We are growing and have multiple openings within our Manufacturing group at our Morden, MB facility. Our Operator position is the first level of management on the manufacturing floor and is responsible for overseeing all operations for that floor. This position will work closely with the Production Manager and other members of the team to ensure a successful end to end process from order to delivery to wrapping customer orders.

**Job Purpose**

**Major Responsibilities**
- Safely operate Machine(s) based on on-the-job training, standardized operating procedures, detailed work instructions and manufacturer’s requirements.
- Safety check for machine and supporting equipment and advise supervisor of any concerns.
- Perform autonomous maintenance and complete safety check sheets. (Shift Pre-Start checklist)
- Setup machine safely to ensure all guards/interlocks/light curtains are in working order and pinch points and/or potential hazards are eliminated with mínimal supervision.
- Determine the sequence of operations and feed material through machine.
- Ensure completed production orders are kept in an organized manner; through utilizing proper bin selection, tagging, pallet sizes and routed to the next operation.
- Monitor operation of machines to clear blockage, prevent jams and breakage and assure adequate lubrication of feed stock.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Layout, setup and operate a CNC Press Brake and bend components according to specifications

**Quality Management System**
- Ensure site compliance to all company’s SOPs, labor, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Take prompt corrective action if required.
- Will support the Plant Supervisor and be equally responsible for the quality compliance for all the brake press products. Will also be responsible for the inspection to ensure that the highest compliance is achieved.

**Health & Safety**
- Will support the Plant Supervisor and be equally responsible for safety compliance on the shopfloor for the people within his leadership.
- Ensure and oversee all HS and JHSC rules and regulations are in force.
- Review and take appropriate action relating to health and safety recommendations and concerns.

**Qualifications**
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience as a Plasma Operator with references
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings accurately and load files into the machine and computer
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work well under pressure and strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Hand, Air and Measuring tools.
- Knowledge of industry standard machinery and equipment used in a truck shop environment
