**About Us**:
After the celebration of 100 years of Mustangs Athletics in 2013-14, Western's two official athletic alumni chapters, The “W” Club and the Women’s Athletic Alumnae (WAA), joined efforts in support of the next 100 years of Western Mustangs Athletics. This one organization is now known as the Western Mustangs Athletic Alumni (WMAA).

The Western Mustangs Athletic Alumni aims to build pride, to encourage and promote lifelong connections amongst Western’s athletes, coaches and staff while upholding the purple and proud tradition and heritage of Mustangs Athletics, and helping to provide a competitive advantage to our current athletes and programs.

**Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Board of Directors of the Western Mustangs Athletic Alumni via the Museum Committee, the Museum Curatorial Head will:

- Create exhibits for the Museum in Alumni Hall
- Maintain the Museum’s online presence through content on the metrasmuseum.ca website and social media
- Update the Museum's artifact catalogue and process any new acquisitions
- Respond to requests for information on Western Mustangs sports history
- Actively pursue all areas of Western sports history and promote the function and operation of the Museum
- Liaise with Alumni Relations and Western Mustangs Athletics
- Schedule and oversee volunteers and/or staff at the Museum

**Qualifications**

**Education**:

- Undergraduate degree
- Masters preferred

**Skills, Abilities & Expertise**:

- Written and verbal communication skills to express ideas clearly, and adapt communication style to suit the situation and audience
- Computer skills with the ability to learn and use software programs; experience with digital collections preferred
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and website maintenance
- Ability to maintain a positive, outgoing attitude with genuine customer service orientation
- Ability to follow formal business practices with high attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and maintain an organized and effective personal work environment
- Adapts readily and effectively to changing priorities and demands
- Personable and courteous in working relationships with colleagues, students and the public
- Demonstrated ability to understand and resolve external and internal partner issues
- Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of the team to achieve WMAA goals
- Ability to work in a manner that is compliant with confidentiality requirements
- This role is expected to be filled internally._
