**We are seeking an **_Accounts Payable Team-Lead_** **to become an important member of our Accounting team. We are looking for the kind of person that strives for excellence; someone who **takes pride in the thoroughness of their work and the strong relationships they develop with their clients and co-workers.** **Working with the Supervisor you will play an important role in leading and supporting the team to ensure the department runs efficiently. **Some of your key responsibilities will be, but not limited to**:
**Department Specific Functions**
- Perform the following Accounts Payable functions:

- Verify, code and post Head Office related expenses;
- Verify, code and post Clinic office expenses;
- Reconciling monthly employee expenses and Visa statements;
- Process all monthly Vendor payments:

- Communicate payable cut-off entry dates for payment schedule;
- Follow up with coworkers to ensure related tasks are completed in order to meet the payment deadlines;
- Ensure proper processing and approvals on all supplier invoices;
- Ensure accuracy of payable data entry;
- Organize and set reminders for payment authorization deadlines;
- Includes payments made by cheque, on-line or by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
- Ensure monthly AR processes are being completed;
- Ensure all department inquiries are being addressed, delegate when necessary and follow-up;
- Communicate with clients and suppliers to ensure a high level of customer service;
- Assist with accounting E2 improvements and testing;
- Act as the liaison between Accounting and other departments as required;
- Continue to learn and understand all functions of the accounting department;

**Team Lead Functions**
- Embody the DC difference;
- Field questions from accounts receivable and accounts payable staff;
- Motivate and inspire team members;
- Delegate tasks and ensure department deadlines and goals are met;
- Assist in Organizing staffing schedules;
- Mentor new staff;
- Train or arrange for training of new staff;
- New staff onboarding (department specific);
- Follow-up on outstanding department tasks and projects as requested by supervisor or manager;
- Assist in training existing staff on new procedures;
- Assist with the preparation of yearly employee reviews;
- Assist with issues or problems with staff, including staff errors;
- Assist with hiring and terminating staff as needed;
- Assist with preparation of regular team meetings;
- Assist in developing and monitoring employee KPI’s;
- Recognize and celebrate team and team member accomplishments and exceptional performance;
- Provide guidance to the team based on management direction;
- Provide direct support to the Accounting Department Supervisor as required.

**Your Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- High school diploma;
- Diploma or Certificate in accounting or related field;
- 2+ years’ experience in accounting ;
- 2+ years’ experience in leading a team;
- Excellent customer service & communication skills;
- Detail oriented with accuracy;
- French is an asset.
