Newmarket, Canada Kidz Can Play Inc. Full time

Kidz Can Play Inc. operates sports programs and variety camps for ages SK-Grade 8. We are looking for volunteers for our 2024 Summer Camp which will run from July 2nd-August 9th (Monday-Friday only.)

**Qualifications/Requirements**
- Previous experience working with children in an instructional setting (Camp, school, faith-based institutions, tutoring, sports, arts and leisure etc.)
- Standard First Aid with CPR ‘C’ (encouraged, but not required)
- High Five Certificate and adherence to the principles of Healthy Child Development. (Children ages 6 to 12 years) (encouraged, but not required)

**Volunteer Responsibilities**:

- Fosters a positive and fun learning environment
- Participates and supports activities for children ages 4-13
- Assists with setting-up and cleaning-up equipment
- Assists in keeping camp program areas clean, safe, and organized
- Follows daily camp schedules, participates in any special activities or theme days
- Might occasionally be asked to work one on one with campers

** Please note that even though salary indicates $1.00 this is strictly a volunteer position and there is no payment associated with this position**

** There will be a compulsory employee/volunteer training day scheduled for mid-June from 9am-3pm at Camp location (Sharon-Hope United Church)**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 weeks

Pay: $1.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
