Certified Holistic Nutritionist

True Balance Medical Spa is looking for an experienced, **certified holistic nutritionist** to enhance the nutritional sector of our BHRT department. This full-time position includes working with our BHRT department and medical operations manager to develop an updated program providing nutritional counselling to patients.

The primary purpose of this role is providing nutrition counseling to help people use food to improve health and to prevent and manage disease. Develop a relationship with the patient that establishes trust and understanding.  The certified nutritionist needs to clearly interpret the patients’ needs and desired expectations. The capability to create and deliver a comprehensive treatment plan is imperative. Interpersonal skills and etiquette are a priority when interacting with patients. A consistent display of above average service is expressed throughout communication and treatment of the patient. We're looking for someone to grow with the company and is committed to the position.

**Summary of Role**:

- Working with our BHRT department and Medical Operations Manager to develop, update and revamp an internal nutritional program
- Providing nutritional counselling and quality care to our patients
- Continue to update/review the program as needed, keeping up with the changes within the industry
- Educate our BHRT professionals and staff on the enhanced nutritional program
- Relationship building with patients

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Review patient Intake Forms
- Meet with patient & document patient medical and family history, current medications, lifestyle and vitals
- Develop an understanding of the patient’s needs and expectations.
- Assist in the development of a patient's Treatment Plan and review with them: medications, supplements, additional testing, nutrition counseling.
- Educate and sell the patient the needed services and products as per Treatment Plan
- PCOS program: will include review of labs and to Debrief the prescriber the patient treatment plan
- Follow up on lab requisitions and Patient Checklist, send to client via CHR message
- Consult and sell products (vitamins, private testing, skin care, etc)
- Document and consult with physician on any adverse events.
- Address patient questions and concerns / provide instructions through CHR and phone calls/ text
- Daily inbox management
- Bring forward issues & solutions as well as improvement suggestions to Medical Operations Manager
- Create personalized meal planning
- Advising diet programs: Rybelsus, Saxenda, HCG diet and Ozempic, Mediterranean, fasting, carnivore diet
- Educating on the importance of gut health.
- Reading and providing analysis of our Wellness program to clients, advising on how to improve their health by managing stress and changes in lifestyle
- Assisting clients with review of food allergy test results and advising meal plans
- Discussing nutrition and eating habits with clients
- Developing educational resources for clients
- Determining the best nutrition plan for each client
- Adjusting plans as needed
- Monitoring clients' progress
- Staying updated on the latest research in the field
- Helping clients manage disease (such as diabetes) through nutrition

**Requirements**:

- Certification in nutrition
- Minimum 3 years experience in nutritional coaching
- Ability to commute to our Sherwood Park office
- Interest in holistic wellness
- Experience in developing nutrition programs
- Knowledge of intermittent fasting is considered a bonus
