GlassHouse Botanics Inc, a licensed Cannabis producer, is looking to hire a Post-Harvest Team Lead.

Working under the direction of the Post-Harvest Supervisor, the Post-Harvest Team Lead has oversight and is a participant in the processes of wet trimming, dry trimming, tray drying and the packaging processes of fresh or dry cannabis flower. The Post-Harvest Team Lead also oversees documentation, sanitation and the assembly and disassembly of equipment pertinent to all post-Harvest processes. The Post-Harvest Team Lead is responsible for preparing documentation related to all sanitation and processing SOP’s, sampling protocols and testing, the collection of samples and preparing documentation for outgoing shipments. The Post-Harvest Team Lead conducts regular quality checks on all equipment used during each process and monitors the productivity of each process to ensure parameters of product quality and process efficiency are being met. The Post-Harvest Team Lead is responsible for the performance of all Post-Harvest Team members including Post Harvest Assistant Leads. The Post-Harvest Lead overseas solving challenges with effective solutions for performance and efficiency.

**Duties include but are not limited to**:

- Oversee post-harvest department & employees and support operations in necessary duties.
- Optimize trimming, drying, and packaging schedules.
- Oversee trimming, drying, bagging, and packaging processes to improve overall product quality.
- Ensure aesthetic acceptance criteria of trimmed product is met.
- Assist in the preparation of representative lot samples for lab testing.
- Monitor in process inventory levels of cannabis and retained samples.
- Maintain live records of in process inventory in tracking software.
- Assist in the procurement for post-harvest materials.
- Participate in the development of documents such as procedures.
- Assist Operations, Quality and Sales to meet product specifications and KPIs.
- Oversee all necessary records and ensure all data is recorded accurately.
- Report deviations in post-harvest processes & record keeping to Quality.
- Work with team to investigate deviations and implement CAPA's.
- Train employees in post-harvest processes and maintain accurate training record.
- Implement process improvements and efficiencies to optimize final product quality.
- Report any health and safety hazards to the health & safety representative.
- Manage team expectations, and individual performance through 1 on 1 meetings and regular performance evaluations.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Demonstrated technical writing skills.
- Experience with computer and instrument software programs / technical skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Analytical and reporting skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
- Detail-oriented and strong time management skills.
- Comfortable standing for long periods of time.
- Experience in an agricultural processing environment.
- Ability to read and follow documents (Standard Operating Procedures).
- Knowledge of GPP and EU GMP requirements for post-harvest processing.

**Conditions of employment**: All applicants being considered for employment will be required to pass a criminal background check prior to hire.

**Job Specific Demands**: Applicants must be fit and able to lift 50 lbs comfortably. Applicants must be flexible to work variable shifts and have reliable transportation. Hours are full time but may include weekends or evenings, depending on production needs. Some tasks require standing or sitting for extended periods of time.

**Our Environment**: Plants like heat and humidity. To be successful in this position you need to be comfortable working in an enclosed environment with high heat and humidity, wear protective clothing, hair covering and other Personal Protective Equipment.

**Wage and Benefits**: $22.00 to start, full benefits after three months. Wage increases will be considered on a yearly or a performance basis.
