The Bench 1775 winery's Tasting Room Sales Associate is **responsible for providing the front-line guest experience**. As a Tasting Room Sales Associate, you are responsible for providing the best possible experience to all of our Tasting Room guests by developing relationships that promote sales and brand loyalty.

**Duties and skills include**
- Greeting guests at all times.
- Provide wine tastings on the patio or at the tasting room.
- Provide an educational experience promoting and selling Bench 1775 wines.
- Promote Wine Club memberships to guests and process club sign-ups.
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing guest service skills.
- Responsible for sales transactions using Wine Direct. This includes taking payment, packing orders, and helping guests by carrying out their orders to their cars.
- Multi-tasking, organizing, cleaning, re-stocking.
- Perform various cleaning duties including but not limited to bussing and re-setting tables, washing, polishing, and restocking glasses, cleaning and tidying up washrooms and general housekeeping of the Wine Shop (floors, windows, watering plants, garbage, and recycling, etc.) dusting and stocking wine and gift items, completing general clean-up of all guest areas throughout the day. This can include monitoring the tasting room, restrooms, and all outside areas.

**Required qualifications**
- Serving It Right.
- Weekend availability including holidays during the season.
- WSET or similar certifications are assets but we will train the right person..
- Must be 19 years of age.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Minimum 2 years serving experience

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6.5 months

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 35 per week

**Experience**:

- Food & Beverage Servers: 1 year (required)
- serving: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Smart Serve, SIR or equivalent (preferred)
