**As Claim Desk Adjuster, YOU Will Be Responsible For**
- Documents claim files by accurately capturing and updating claims data / information.
- Establishes timely reserves and performs ongoing review throughout claims cycle within authority limit by estimating and validating value of claims.
- Writes estimates for related damage, provides customers scope of loss and cost of repairs. Negotiates settlement of claims in a satisfactory and equitable manner, within authority limit.
- Reports claims information to senior claims personnel on claims in excess of prescribed authority limit.
- Works to have a timely resolution to claims; escalating issues as appropriate;
- Ensures customer service by proactively communicating information and responding to inquiries from insureds, brokers, and adjusters in a timely manner;
- Addresses potential subrogation on files, and refers claims to appropriate personnel if fraud is identified;
- Responsible for standard office duties and preparation and submission of reports (e.g., caption reports, detailed assessments);
- Represents the Company by executing a high level of service and maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Performs related duties as required.

**What We Need From YOU**
- Completion of Grade 12 education.
- Successful completion of at least four Insurance Institute courses along with a positive commitment toward completion of the CIP designation, demonstrated by completing two Institute courses per year.
- Two years related insurance experience, one of which must have been as an Underwriter or Claims Examiner.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to note details, make accurate observations and sound decisions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.

This unionized position offers an annual salary range of $53,150 - 69,678, a comprehensive benefits package, a fun and inclusive work environment, professional development opportunities and the potential for further advancement within the company.
