**Job Summary**:
Reporting to the Manager, Prosecutions and APS, the APS Supervisor will be responsible for over-seeing the functions of the APS Clerks and the Screening Officers who report directly to the APS Supervisor. The Supervisor will respond to complaints and inquiries that have escalated from front-line staff. The Supervisor will be designated as a Screening Officer and will conduct Screenings when required.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Training & Leadership- Provide training to APS Clerks on technology, APS procedural by-laws and SOPs.
- Coordinate and assist in the delivery of training of Screening Officers (conducted by Manager and/or APS Counsel) on APS procedural by-laws, policies, regulatory/legislative framework, technology, and provide guidance on how to conduct screenings.
- Ensure performance goals and competencies are updated and aligned with the evolving duties and responsibilities of the Clerks and Screening Officers.
- Check dashboards and ensure Clerks and Screening Officers’ service levels are met.
- Purchase of office supplies and will be responsible for submitting monthly expense reports.
- Work with Legal Services to provide training and guidance to Screening Officers and APS Clerks and provide feedback to enforcement groups related to evidence and investigations.
- Stakeholder & Public Inquiries- Prepare the weekly Screening Officer schedule.
- Provide direction on how to dispute or pay for tickets
- Have an active role in the APS Expansion Project, facilitate, and collaborate on future expansion of the program.
- Work with the Joint Processing Centre to request evidence for ASE and RLC tickets
- Liaise with Gtechna and internal IT support to ensure the APS unit business needs are met.
- Conduct Screenings and first stage appeals
- Enforcement Deliverables- Liaise with enforcement to ensure tickets issued properly with appropriate supporting evidence of contraventions.
- Prepare monthly victim fine component and status reports payable to MAG
- Responsible for responding to disclosure requests related to a Penalty Order or Notice.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related discipline, (ie. Paralegal Studies, Court and Tribunal Agent Program or Law Clerk) and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge and experience in administrative law, adjudicative processes, including conducting hearings in a tribunal setting.
- Knowledge of the substantive by-laws enforced through Administrative Penalties; the Highway Traffic Act; APS procedural by-laws, APS regulations and policies
- Reporting experience or knowledge to report the Victim Fine Component collected on Penalty Orders
- Skills in dealing with persons or difficult situations without giving offense even in the face of rude behaviour in order to de-escalate the difficult situation.

Hourly Rate/Salary: $ 74,817.00 - $ 99,758.00

Hours of Work: 8:30 am to 4:30pm
