ACCES helps more than 40,000 job seekers each year at seven locations in the GTA. As a charitable not-for-profit organization, ACCES provides job search services that connect newcomers, jobseekers, youth, women and refugees to jobs that reflect their skills and experience. We provide over 30 customized job search programs that meet the unique needs of our jobseekers. This position will report to the Director, Entrepreneurship and Program Development in Toronto. The job will involve working effectively with the Director, a researcher, project partners, and stakeholders to lead a research project focused on mentorship supports available for low-income entrepreneurs in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). This will include a broad analysis of existing mentorship services and supports, including in other sectors, with the goal of identifying best practices, as well as gaps and opportunities for better design, funding structures and delivery methods. Involving desk research as well as primary data collection with service providers, industry leaders and program alumni, this work will culminate in the production and dissemination of a report with key findings and recommendations for service providers as well as government and private funders.

This is a non-unionized position.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Works closely with the Director, Entrepreneurship and Program Development to ensure project deliverables are completed and outcomes achieved
- Ensures effective project coordination, fostering and nurturing relationships with project partners, consultants, key stakeholders, and relevant community agencies, including resolving concerns/feedback
- Leads planning, oversight, and facilitation of project activities, including partner meetings, stakeholder outreach and engagement, focus group discussions and interviews
- Tracks and measures project activities against work plan and communicates in a timely manner with Director about any setbacks, identifying solutions to challenges efficiently and professionally
- Works closely with research consultant to develop and operationalize research frameworks and tools
- Coordinates collection of information and effectively maintains data in an organized manner for future analysis
- Provides support to Director and research consultant to conduct preliminary analysis of findings and supports in the production of final report
- Assists in development of dissemination strategy and organization of related activities
- Makes recommendations to the Director to improve project coordination, administrative efficiency, and effectiveness
- Other duties as assigned including staff supervision as required, support of site activities, evening supervisor shift rotation, and support of other managers/activities

**Qualifications**:
An organized self-starter with experience and/or education in the following areas:

- Post-Secondary Degree or diploma in a related field
- At least three years of related work experience in multi-partner projects, preferably with project management experience
- Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated experience fostering and managing relationships in non-governmental, community and private sectors
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and in writing, with ability to communicate professionally and diplomatically with diverse audiences
- Exceptional planning, organization, and problem-solving skills; must be pro-active, and have a sense of urgency
- Proficient in data management with capacity to develop systems and tools to increase organization and efficiency
- Strong time management skills, capable of managing competing priorities and demonstrating flexibility in order to respond to shifting contexts
- Prior experience in research, analysis, evaluation work with an understanding of common tools, methods and organization required to uphold research standards
- Knowledge of entrepreneurship, small business, and the challenges faced by low-income and other marginalized individuals attempting to integrate into the labour market
- Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly and to ensure they are clearly communicated to an audience
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
- Previous experience working in the not-for-profit sector and working with a diverse community is an asset
