**Tax Insurance Broker**

Are you a tax lawyer looking for an opportunity to use your skills in a different way? Want to gain some balance while leveraging your education and experience in the legal industry?
- Note: This role is eligible under our SmartWorking program, which means the work can be performed both remotely and in our Toronto office.

**What The Day Will Look Like**:

- Aon is the leading broker of tax insurance in North America. The tax team is part of Aon M&A and Transaction Solutions and is staffed by former practicing tax lawyers.
- Tax insurance is actively used to facilitate M&A transactions, tax credit investments and as a corporate risk management tool. However, a significant opportunity exists to broaden the use of tax insurance in Canada. Successful team members are entrepreneurial and highly motivated to contribute to the growth of this in-demand and fast-growing business in Canada.
- Structuring and placing tax insurance programs on behalf of Aon’s clients
- Supporting the production efforts of Aon’s retail producers
- Attendance at important tax related conferences around North America to promote Aon’s tax insurance team

**How This Opportunity Is Different**:

- The position will be at the VP level and will have a Toronto and Canadian focus. It is anticipated that the position will involve travel, once it is regularly permitted, to support producers through Canada and collaborate with the New York-based team and insurers.

**Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success**:

- Tax lawyer or tax accountant with significant experience practicing tax law
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience client facing experience practicing tax law and proven ability to develop tax related business
- Good network among the Canadian legal and business community
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. French language verbal skills would be an asset
- High level of self-direction and sound judgment
