**Working for the Department**

The Department of Psychology is home to 31 Faculty members including 3 Canada Research Chairs, approximately 3,000 undergraduate majors and 70 graduate students across its multiple degree programs. Current research themes in the department include developmental science; behavioural, cognitive and social neuroscience; cognition; comparative cognition and behaviour; and social and cultural psychology.

**Position**

The PEERS Lab in the Department of Psychology at the University of Alberta, led by Dr. Wendy Hoglund, is recruiting a full-time Postdoctoral Fellow (PDF) with interests and expertise in young children's self-regulation and mental health, and experience with longitudinal data collection and analysis.

**Duties**
- Provides expertise in project and data management, including directing longitudinal projects with children.
- Supervises and coordinates data collection, cleaning and analysis activities.
- Leads knowledge mobilization activities, with a focus on co-publishing and co-presenting.
- Participates in the training and co-supervision of graduate and undergraduate students.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- A doctoral degree (PhD) in Developmental Psychology or a related area (e.g., Educational Psychology).
- Expertise and interests in child self-regulation, mental health, and relationships with teachers and/or peers.
- Experience conducting longitudinal research, including collecting and analyzing longitudinal data.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills (e.g., structural equation modeling and multilevel modeling using Mplus).
- Evidence of independent scholarship.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; exceptional academic writing skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Proficient time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience in project and data management.
- Experience with longitudinal measurement burst designs is especially welcome.
