Airside Operations an integral part to the success of the Airport system, as a key role in facilitating safe and efficient and predictable movement of aircraft and all customers that those aircraft serve. Roles in Airside Operations are exciting and dynamic and require a strong team approach - which is key to everything we do.

**Position overview**

You are engaged by a dynamic and changing environment, as well as leading a team that is critical to the successful delivery of our operation through planned maintenance of airfield infrastructure and emergency response to unplanned work. You are a flexible team player, with strong leadership capabilities and a focus on safety and customer service in all you do.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring of a specialized team of Airfield Maintenance and Wildlife Management Program staff including teams working shifts 24/7
- Oversee key Airfield and Airport Maintenance Programs, including, but not limited to:

- Wildlife Management Program
- Winter Operations Program, Plans and community facilitation
- Drainage and Vegetation management
- Continuous improvement of programs and maintenance plans by developing and maintaining customer and vendor relationships, as well as implementing industry leading practices to respond to changing conditions, needs and technology

**Key qualifications include**:

- At least 10 years’ experience working within an aviation or an operational maintenance environment, plus at least three years’ leadership experience - including demonstrated experience leading diverse teams; supplemented by a bachelor’s degree or technical certification in a field related to aviation, operations management, maintenance, business or engineering; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills with proven ability to manage, interpret and derive insight from data in order to develop and implement operational plans and programs
- Proven high level of independent judgment and critical thinking skills
- Comfort multitasking and balancing competing needs and interests
- Ability to collaborate positively with peers, customers and service providers in high stress and challenging discussions, enabling effective 24x7 service and remediation, when required
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills to prioritize within a complex portfolio
- Ability to translate ambiguity into clarity for team and stakeholders
