**PURCHASER/DISPATCH COORDINATOR**

Due to growth within our company, **we are seeking a Purchaser/Dispatch Coordinator to join our Purchasing team in St. Clements **(just outside of Waterloo).

This is a full-time position with 44 hours a week, and you would be required to work on-site at our St. Clements location. Wage commensurate with experience. Benefits are provided after the 3-month probationary period.

Artco has nearly 40 years of experience in **manufacturing case goods, upholstered furniture, and millwork** for the hospitality industry across North America. Artco specializes in high-end custom furniture for luxury hotels and is part of the Chervin group of companies which also provides high-end custom residential cabinetry, residential furniture, and home décor.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager.

**Purchasing - 85%**
- Maintain and update inventory records
- Creation of purchase orders, Bill of Material review for JOB accuracy
- Order consumable, non-inventory items and custom materials as experience allows
- Responsible for the full purchasing cycle - from issuing purchase orders, tracking progress, and receiving the product to handling nonconformances and reconciling any invoicing discrepancies
- Prioritize tasks according to urgency and importance
- Primary point of contact with vendors
- Seek new product and partner opportunities
- Negotiate contracts and large volume purchases
- Help maintain an organized and tidy workspace to ensure smooth processes and enable your team to produce the best quality products
- Other duties as assigned by the Purchasing Manager

**Dispatch - 15%**
- Responsible for dispatching Artco driver to process pick-ups and deliveries primarily in the GTA
- Ensure the success of delivery for all products
- Collaborate with the Delivery Supervisor to maintain a safe fleet of vehicles and address any problems or requests

**WHAT YOU’LL BRING**
- A post-secondary education/purchasing designation or equivalent experience is preferred
- High school diploma/GED minimum
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Outstanding negotiation skills -the ability to negotiate the best cost and delivery terms
- Competent with computers and software
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic personality with an eagerness to learn
- A keen attention to detail
- A self-motivated desire to produce valuable work
- A collaborative and creative nature
- A passion for the core values that are the foundation of our company
- A commitment to punctuality and dependability
- **BONUS**: Knowledge of furniture manufacturing is an asset
- **BONUS**: Experience with ERP systems and/or ERP implementation
