**Position Information**:
This Care Facilitator position relates to the Sexual Assault and Partner Abuse Care Program of The Ottawa Hospital.

**Rotation/Shifts**:
Days, evenings and nights, including weekends, 8 and 12 hour shifts.

**Basic Requirements**:

- Current certificate of competence in the province of Ontario;
- B.Sc.N or actively pursuing education endeavours towards obtaining B. Sc.N.;
- Minimum of three (3) years of Emergency clinical nursing experience;
- Completion of Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner course;
- Knowledge of RHPA, Public Hospitals Act, Health Care and Consent Act, Child and Family Services Act;
- Knowledge of community resources;
- Knowledge of operations, policy, and procedures relating to the Sexual Assault and Partner Abuse Care Program;
- Demonstrated ability to provide clinical care to victims of trauma and/or sexual assault and domestic violence;
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and/or as part of the department team;
- Knowledge of College of Nurses Standards and Guidelines;
- General office principles and procedures;
- Computer software proficiency: MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook;
- Excellent time management and organizational skills;
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and establish priorities;
- Excellent problem solving skills to handle stressful situations and assist difficult clients;
- Ability to maintain an attitude of dedication, courtesy and professional competence;
- Excellent tact, judgement, and initiative;
- Eligible to work in Canada.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Emergency certification;
- Membership with Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO);
- Leadership program;
- Unit/hospital committee membership;
- Proficiency in English and French - oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
