**14 days on / 7 days off, 10 hours/day (Day shift), Fly In / Fly Out, Camp Provided**

**Flight Hubs: Nanaimo, Prince George, Vancouver, Kelowna, Calgary, Edmonton**

or

**20 days on / 8 days off, 10 hours/day (Day shift), Fly In / Fly Out, Camp Provided**

**Flight Hubs: St. John, NL, Halifax, NS, Hamilton, ON, Winnipeg, MB**

**SALARY**:
Starting at $165,000.00/yr and up based on credentials skills and experience.

**REPORTS TO**:
Project Manager

**POSITION OBJECTIVE FOR PAINTING CONSTRUCTION MANAGER**:
Leads and influences the development of the LNG construction management systems, strategic direction and focus. Provides leadership of the Project construction team, this includes leading the development of Project production management system and standards, processes and plans.

Leads the analysis and reporting of LNG Project construction activity performance and initiates strategies to improve outputs across site.

The Construction Manager is responsible for ensuring HSE, quality, productivity and planning is kept at the forefront of employee’s minds, ensure safe operational practices, processes, employee education and training, and consultative communications are in place and are being adhered to.

Ensures that the projects HSE&Q management systems are complied with.

Allocating sufficient resources to implement, develop, and maintain progress performance throughout the life of the Project in accordance with the approved schedule.

Providing leadership and support for work plans.
- Perform formal site audits and random inspections. Conduct HSE re-focus sessions as required.
- Understand the Company's Safety Policy and the responsibilities of each grade of employee. Ensure that the policy is brought to the attention of all employees under their control, and ensure that work is carried out in accordance with its requirements.
- Ensure that all employees directly under their charge are aware of their responsibilities regarding the Company Safety Policy and their obligations for safe working;
- Ensure that all employees comply with client & Cape ‘Golden Rules’;
- Have knowledge of the appropriate Project requirements, AS/NZS Standards, Codes of Practice and Statutory requirements affecting their sphere of the Company’s operations and ensure they are observed;
- Discuss working methods with Managers, Foremen and Charge hands etc. and where necessary consult the Technical / Safety Department to determine adequate safe systems of work;
- Identify any significant risks to the health and safety of employees or third parties who may be affected by the Company’s operations. Verify whether generic risk assessments are suitable and sufficient for the tasks to be undertaken. Where generic risk assessments do not adequately cover the operations, provide and record suitable and sufficient risk assessments, in line with the Company procedures. Also, ensure that relevant information from the assessments is given to the appropriate personnel by recorded talk before allowing work to proceed;
- Ensure that no employees are exposed to any hazardous substances or environments without suitable and sufficient controls/protection being in place. Where these exist, but are beyond the company’s control, obtain documented evidence to ensure that the client or the controller of the premises has carried out all the necessary precautions before allowing work to proceed;
- Ensure that all work is carried out in a safe and proper manner and in compliance with relevant risk assessments and safe systems of work;
- Ensure that all employees are provided with and use any necessary protective equipment or clothing;
- Ensure that all tools, plant and equipment, whether hired or purchased, are safe and comply with current statutory requirements. Arrange for regular servicing and maintenance in accordance with Company procedures and where applicable statutory requirements;
- Ensure that no defective tools, plant or equipment are used and that all defects are rectified promptly. Also, ensure that no tools, plant or equipment are modified in any way, except when carried out in an approved and controlled manner;
- Ensure that all lifting appliances, lifting gear and other equipment has undergone statutory tests and examinations and that all mandatory documentation is in order before use;
- Ensure that electricity supplies are installed, modified and maintained in a safe and proper manner;
- Ensure that adequate welfare and first aid facilities are provided and maintained (where these facilities have been provided by others, ensure that they are suitable and sufficient);
- Ensure that fire protection measures are provided and maintained and that all employees are made aware of the procedures to be followed in the event of a fire. (where these facilities have been provided by others, ensure that they are suitable and sufficient
