Winnipeg, Canada Healthy Start for Mom & Me Full time

Healthy Start seeks a caring, resourceful, friendly, and energetic registered dietitian for its prenatal and postnatal community work on an indefinite term. The Registered Dietitian works in both group and one-on-one settings and travels to several locations throughout Winnipeg. Our program reaches out to pregnant and parenting families who may live on low income and experience isolation.

Dietitians with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:

- experience with prenatal, infant and family nutrition, including breastfeeding
- experience with marginalized populations
- understanding of adult education, community nutrition, empowering principles
- love of cooking, challenge, variety, problem-solving essential
- demonstrated empathy, non-judgmental approach, approachability
- exceptional communication skills essential
- able to provide own car; valid driver’s license
- experience working with immigrant and Indigenous people
- experience facilitating/presenting information in a group setting
- ability to work in a job where no two days are the same and able to work on several tasks at a time
- willingness to complete a satisfactory criminal record and child abuse registry checks
- ability to meet the physical demands of the position (lifting and carrying are required daily)
- registered with the College of Dietitians of Manitoba and liability insurance coverage
- Salary in the range of $51,000 ($28.02/hr) to $53,060 ($29.15/hr) for full-time annually (pro-rated to part-time)._

**Experience**:

- Registered Dietitian: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
