CNC Punching Machine Operator

**Position Scope**
**Key** Responsibilities**
- Prepare and operate CNC punching machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
- Understand specifications of the tasks at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
- Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function
- Safely operate the CNC punching machine (safety training will be provided)
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
- Prepare test runs to check if the machines produce the output according to specifications
- Program machines to complete full cycle fabrication large number of parts
- Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
- Inspect and measure finished products, and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure the functionality
- Carry out any other ad-hoc duties as required
**Qualifications & Abilities**
- Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a CNC punching operator
- Skills in operating CNC punching machinery, precision measurement tools and other hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawing
- Computer savvy with a basic understanding of computer programming and CAD
- Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
