POSITION TITLE: Program Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: Training and Development

JOB STATUS: Permanent Full-time

LOCATION: Saskatoon Office

REPORTS TO: Taylor Opdahl - Manager, Digital Transformation - Mining

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Program Coordinator works closely with the Program Instructors,
Manager and other Program Coordinators on the delivery and ongoing development of the Digital
Transformation in Potash Mining Program (DTiPM). The Program Coordinator assists with the planning and coordination of the Digital Transformation Program through supporting student recruitment, event planning and marketing material development. The Program Coordinator can manage multiple timelines and support program growth, be a strong advocate for the program participants, and strong representative of the program and overall organization’s brand.

The Program Coordinator will work closely with the program’s Partners, including Mosaic, and the
Industry Sponsors to strengthen relationships, help align graduates to careers and ensure stakeholders get value for their investment and involvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
2. Event planning: Establish relationships with venues and vendors for opening ceremonies, closing ceremonies, sponsor presentations, career fairs, reconciliation events, etc. while supporting overall event logistics and implementation of program events.

3. Bring Innovation: The Digital Transformation in Potash Mining program is greatly an entrepreneurial pursuit, where innovative strategies and non-typical approaches have led to strong outcomes. This includes developing additional mutually beneficial partnerships, providing efficiencies to operations, implementing new technologies, uncovering new funding streams, developing stronger communication channels and enhancing the brand of the program.

4. Develop Marketing Material: Work alongside internal marketing team to develop highly engaging marketing material for both student recruitment efforts, partnership announcements, social media posting, etc.

5. Writing: Aid in the writing and development of media releases, in partnership with various partners and stakeholders.

6. Communications: Review of the program’s communications (i.e., program website, marketing material, etc.) and follow-up improvement and revamp of them.

7. Project Management: Work alongside with the Manager, Digital Transformation - Mining to develop an overarching project management plan for the program which will be adhered to through program delivery.

8. Program Content Development: assist the content development team in developing a revamped student workbook (i.e., textbook), accompanying facilitator guide, and supporting documentation.

9. Program Promotion: Attend various events as it relates to the program to promote to future partners, sponsors, and students - as required.

10. Partner and Sponsor Relations: Developing relationships with the various stakeholders of the program including Partners, Indigenous organizations, Indigenous communities, and
Sponsors to ensure stakeholders are properly cared for.

11. Other Duties as Assigned.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

- Strong technical writing ability, with skill in report writing and general project content creation.
- Strong self-management skills and time allocation: Ability to work on multiple tasks at once and balance and organize timelines, deliverables, etc.
- Adaptable: Ability to adapt to various projects and program needs.
- Strong technological capacities: Strong understanding of utilizing technology to enhance operations, reduce human error, and improve the experience for those in the program.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant area such as Business Administration, Education, Social Sciences,
English, Social Work, Curriculum Development, or equally valuable life and professional experience.
