**Exploration Geologists - Ontario**

Fladgate is currently looking for exploration geologists to work for a busy geological exploration company based out of Thunder Bay, Ontario. We have several positions open for a large field program involving geological mapping and sampling. The work will be a summer contract from May 1st to August 31st and can accommodate fly in fly out rotations.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Collection and interpretation of geological data from exploration field mapping, surface sampling
- Ensures best practices for sampling, and database management are followed.
- Contribute to the evaluation and interpretation of detailed
- to regional-scale geology to identify and prioritize exploration opportunities.
- Contribute to exploration work programs and exploration planning.
- Work in close collaboration with contractors and any other persons placed under their responsibility.
- All other tasks related to exploration programs

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- A minimum bachelor’s degree in Geology or Earth Science
- Minimum 1-5 years’ experience in mineral exploration.
- Understanding of geological settings, deposit models, and ore-forming processes as it pertains to the latest concepts of base metal deposit environments.
- Experience in field mapping
- A demonstrated commitment to safety, environment, and community.
- Self-motivated and able to perform and communicate effectively with coworkers and clients
- Experience with ArcGIS or QGIS considered an asset.
- Registered as a Geologist in Training (GIT) or Professional Geologist (P.Geo) desirable.
- Must be comfortable living and working in a remote camp that could be either canvas tents or trailers.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fly-In/Fly-Out

**Salary**: $350.00-$425.00 per day
